On behalf of the staff, pupils, parents/carers and governors, I would like to welcome you to our website at Newport Primary School. At Newport we pride ourselves on providing a happy, safe, secure and supportive place to learn. At the centre of our ethos is the belief that our children should enjoy their school experience while achieving their full potential. We believe whole heartedly in a growth mind-set approach to learning. Pupils may not yet be able to achieve particular goals but with dedicated teaching, support, nurture and a belief in their own capabilities they will able to succeed in the future. We believe that for us to achieve this it is important to build close and trusting relationships between home and school, both working together to promote the vision, aims and ethos of our school. We recognise that confidence in school comes from knowing and understanding what happens within it. Within school we have staff who can interpret over five different languages to support clearer communications with parents. We hope that this website will be an additional way to provide you with information and insight of what is going on in school.
