Recovery Curriculum

The academic year 2019/20 was strange and unprecedented and has left many questions, particularly, how will it be for children when they return to school?  We have ben researching into the best ways to support our pupils upon their return and we are basing our recovery curriculum upon the work of Barry Carpenter, Professor of Mental Health in Education, Oxford Brookes University who is a leading expert in this area.

To read more about his principles, click on the link below:

Alongside the National Curriculum, which will continue to be delivered, we will also be delivering a series of sessions in our ‘class bubbles’ to support re-integration into school. We will be working alongside our Educational Psychologist to measure the impact upon children’s emotional well-being and ability to access the academic provision.
