Supporting Your Child’s Learning at Home

Parental support at home is essential to provide the best outcomes for pupils Homework will be set weekly for pupils in Reception – Year 6 via ClassDojo. Homework will usually include a maths and literacy task, but may also include weekly spellings and/or other curriculum subjects.

We ask that parents/carers support their child’s learning by ensuring they log on to ClassDojo to complete weekly homework tasks (Reception – Year 6). If you need support to access ClassDojo, please contact the school office.

We also ask parents/carers to read regularly with their child. All children in Reception – Year 6 will be sent home a reading book and reading record. We ask that children are reading at home as regularly as possible, but at least three times a week as a minimum.

If you need any advice/support with how to best support your child at home, please speak to your child’s class teacher in the first instance.
